A 29-year-old Adam Mohammed has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the illegal trade of narcotic substances.

Adam Mohammed was arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command through a special led operation.

The operation was led by the Airport District Police Command on Saturday, May 10, 2025, during a special operation at Aboabo No. 1.

Speaking at a press conference at the regional police command on May 14, 2015, the Public Relations Officer, DSP Godwin Ahianyo, disclosed that a search was conducted at the premises of the suspect.

Items seized by the police were 35 packs of 250mg tramadol, 28 packs of 120mg tramadol and 11 packs of 225mg tramadol.

He also noted that approximately 50 empty cartons were used for packaging and transporting the drugs.

The PRO further revealed that an amount of Sixty-Six Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis (GHS 66,950.00), believed to be proceeds from the illicit drug trade, was also found at the premises.

He added that the amount has been secured for evidential purposes.

“The case we have on our hands is a suspect who is noted for dealing in narcotic substances. The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting with investigations,” he said.
