Armed police officers and individuals believed to be National Security operatives have surrounded the residence of NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
The reason for surrounding the politician’s house remains unclear.
The security operatives have requested to enter the residence, which remains locked.
They have been seen knocking and banging on the main entrance, awaiting a response.
Some persons close to the NPP official have slammed security officials, describing this as an act of intimidation.
Meanwhile, party officers including General Secretary Justine Frimpong Kodua have posted on social media about the incident.
