The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has officially announced the passing of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, at the Manhyia Palace.
The traditional ruler announced the passing of the alte queen mother during a mandatory Asanteman Council meeting, attended by all paramountcies and clans.
The one-week observance for the late Queen Mother will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III died on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 98.
She was officially outdoored as Asantehemaa in 2017, following the death of her predecessor, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, in 2016.
Her public unveiling took place during the 67th birthday celebration of her brother, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
