An Accra Circuit Court has remanded Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, the Bono New Patriotic Party Chairman.
The politician was brought before the court on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, after being detained on Monday, September 8, 2025.
Abronye DC turned himself in to the police after learning he was being pursued. The Ghana Police Service today, September 9, 2025, arraigned Mr. Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye, before the Circuit Court in Accra.
The court remanded him into police custody to reappear on Friday, September 12, 2025.
According to the Ghana Police Service, Abronye was arrested on September 8 on charges of “offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace.”
He was brought before the Accra Circuit Court today, where bail was denied by the presiding judge.
He was transported in the Black Maria, a moving cell typically used for transporting suspected criminals to court.
