The ministry is now accepting applications for intensive four-semester programmes in critical care, emergency, cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, and oncology nursing.

A statement issued and signed by Desmond Boateng, Chief Director for the Health Minister, noted that these courses will be hosted at premier training institutions, including the Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges in Korle-Bu, Kumasi, and Tamale, as well as the specialised Peri-Operative and Critical Care Nursing School.

This expansion ensures that the domestic healthcare system can provide world-class management for complex conditions such as kidney failure, cancer, and heart disease.

According to the statement, the training will also provide significant career incentives for prospective students.

Graduates will earn a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cape Coast and gain eligibility for associate membership with the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives.

In addition to licensure from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), successful applicants can expect enhanced remuneration and access to modernised learning environments featuring advanced skills laboratories and expert faculty.

To be eligible, applicants must be registered nurses or midwives with a valid NMC Personal Identification Number and at least two years of post-rotation work experience in their field of interest. Candidates must be medically fit and under the age of 40.

The ministry emphasises that they are looking for professionals with a genuine passion for specialised care and a firm commitment to serving within the Ghanaian healthcare landscape.

The online admission portal is currently active and will remain open until March 26, 2026. Interested healthcare workers can purchase an application voucher for GH¢150.00 via the official health training website.
