The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the restoration of its online promotion portal following a technical hitch that left thousands of educators across the country in a state of anxious limbo.

The service confirmed on Thursday that the underlying issues preventing teachers from accessing their career progression results have been rectified.

For several days, the platform had been plagued by accessibility errors, sparking concerns among candidates who sat for the highly competitive promotion examinations.

In an official statement released to the press, the GES Management assured staff that the system is now fully operational.

“The earlier challenges which affected access to the promotion results have been successfully resolved,” the Service noted, confirming that the digital bottleneck has been cleared to allow for seamless traffic.

The disruption had initially caused a wave of frustration within the teaching fraternity, with many calling for a more robust digital infrastructure to handle the high volume of traffic typically seen during the release of results.

Acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the downtime, the GES expressed its gratitude to the workforce for their composure.

“Management expresses its appreciation for the patience and understanding shown during the period of disruption,” the statement continued, further emphasising that the organisation “remains committed to the welfare of teachers.”

Eligible candidates are now encouraged to verify their status via the official link hosted on the GES website. To check their results, teachers must visit www.ges.gov.gh, where they can input their credentials to determine their promotion standing.

This resolution marks a significant relief for the education sector, as the promotion cycle is a critical component of professional development and salary adjustment within the Ghanaian teaching service.

Management has promised to continue monitoring the platform to ensure no further outages occur during this peak period of activity.
