A major financial dispute has erupted following the concert featuring Ghanaian music icon Kojo Antwi and Ivorian legend Freddie Meiway at the Dominion Centre in London, leaving an event financier on the verge of losing his homes.

Joephister Forson, who guaranteed and advanced financial support to Charles Davidson and Davidson Band Africa Ltd to organize the 5 September 2026 London show, faces immediate property foreclosure after the promoter allegedly failed to settle the outstanding balance of the loan.

According to documents and correspondence, the lenders provided a principal loan of £30,000 alongside credit cover for event logistics, hotel accommodation, and Eurostar travel for the performing artists and their crew.

Although Davidson Band Africa Ltd received over £46,300 in ticket revenues via Eventbrite shortly after the concert, only a partial payment of £15,000 was remitted to the lender on 23 September 2026.

The total financial obligation, including agreed interest and accrued logistics expenses, stood at £37,620.59. The partial payment left a debt balance of £22,620.59, which became payable on 16 September 2026.

Financial pressure on the benefactor has since escalated. Banking notices from NatWest confirm that business accounts linked to the transaction face overdraft breaches, while default notices on mortgage repayments have placed the lender’s properties at risk of repossession.

A formal letter before action served on Charles Davidson demanded full settlement of the remaining £22,620.59 or an acceptable repayment proposal by 16 October 2026.

The notice warned that failure to satisfy the debt would result in immediate county court proceedings to recover the principal amount, interest, legal costs, and enforcement fees.

With the deadline passed, mortgage defaults mounting, and verbal threats issued against efforts to recover the money, the distressed lender described the ordeal as a devastating betrayal that threatens total financial collapse despite his vital role in bringing the London show to life.

The concert was billed as a historic joint live performance bringing together two of West Africa’s most iconic musical powerhouses on a single stage.

Organised by Charles Davidson through his company, Davidson Band Africa Ltd (in partnership with Sleeky Promotions), the high-profile Afro-music showcase took place on 5 September 2026 at the prestigious Dominion Centre in Wood Green, North London.

The show paired Ghanaian Highlife maestro Kojo Antwi—famed for timeless hits like “Tom & Jerry” and “Adiepena”—alongside Ivorian Zoblazo pioneer Freddie Meiway, renowned across the continent for classics such as “Miss Lolo” and “Zoblazo”.

Promoted heavily across the UK African diaspora, the event drew massive patronage, with advance tickets processed online via Eventbrite yielding over £46,300 in total sales revenue.

To execute the large-scale production, the promoters secured substantial external funding to cover the costs of bringing both headliners and their full live bands from West Africa and Continental Europe.

The credit facility catered for international travel—including Eurostar train connections for artists, managers, and band members from Paris to London—as well as block hotel bookings at Premier Inn London Enfield and associated event logistics.

While the concert itself achieved high critical acclaim and strong public turnout, the underlying financial agreements collapsed after the event promoter allegedly withheld loan repayments despite receiving the full ticketing payout from Eventbrite.
