Management of Accra Academy Senior High School has revealed to the Ghanaian public that the student who was seen in a viral video using a cutlass to flog some other students has been handed over to the police.
The school in the statement stated that the incident, which occurred on January 17, 2024, was not reported to school authorities until the video surfaced on social media.
The management disclosed that all students involved have been identified.
The statement said their parents have also been contacted, while the one who was seen using the cutlass to flog his colleagues has been handed over to the police for further interrogation.
The perpetrators are Shadad Aliu a.k.a. Kester (IVA 1), Haleem Jibril a.k.a. Chopper (3Bus 5), Ahmed Dauda a.k.a. Foreigner (3GA 5), and Richard Ninsin a.k.a. Poisonous (3GA 5). The victims are Samuel Ussher (1Sc 10), Kingsford Quayson (1Sc 10), Stephen Oteng (1Sc 10), and Dominic Awuku Adjei (1GA 2).
The statment added that preliminary investigation reveals that the machete used was brought from home, not taken from the school and that the matter was still under investigation by the school’s disciplinary committee, and all stakeholders would be informed of the outcome.
