Members and executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kasoa have accused Member of Parliament Philis Naa Koryo and her husband of allegedly disregarding and usurping appointments duly assigned to party executives in the Awutu Senya East Constituency.
The aggrieved party members expressed their discontent with the MP and her husband for purportedly neglecting and excluding party executives from key events and decision-making processes.

They have also accused the MP of allowing her husband to exert undue influence over her, resulting in decisions being made without consulting party executives and supporters.
Addressing a press conference, Mr Cobby Wilson, Deputy Constituency Communications Officer of the NDC, said the MP is perceived to be governing the constituency in an authoritarian manner, with some alleging that decisions are made solely by her and her husband. Yusif.

“We are appealing to the leadership of the party to take immediate action. She has employed a system led by her husband and has ignored the leadership of the party. She does not consult us. As leaders, we don’t hate her. We voted for her and not her husband. The husband should desist from engaging in our political affairs. We don’t need him in our constituency affairs. He should allow the MP to work and stop meddling in our affairs. His action and meddling in party affairs in the constituency is nauseating. He can do party work in other places and not in our constituency,” he declared.
Some branch executives have urged the national leadership of the NDC to intervene, arguing that the current situation may compromise the party’s chances of retaining the seat in the 2028 elections.
