The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery incident at Wassa Nkran in the Western Region.
The suspect identified as Enoch Asimiga was arrested on June 13, 2025.
Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the suspect attacked a victim near Wassa Nkran at gunpoint with a locally manufactured pistol, robbed him of some money and fled into a nearby cocoa farm.
The victim raised the alarm, prompting a swift community response that led to the arrest of the suspect.
A search led to the retrieval of one (1) BB live cartridge, one (1) locally manufactured pistol and a Samsung mobile phone.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting ongoing investigations and will be put before the court.
