Maxwell Kofi Jumah, the former Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited, has been arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
Following a raid on his private residence in Kumasi last week, Mr Jumah was taken into custody on Tuesday, 28 April.
The arrest relates to suspected breaches of public financial management protocols.
Investigators are currently scrutinising how official resources were administered under his leadership at GIHOC to determine the extent of any potential irregularities.
He remains in the agency’s custody as the investigation continues.
