The death toll from the torrential rains that flooded the capital, including heavily hit areas such as Alajo, has risen to four.
The flooding submerged major roads, homes, and businesses, severely disrupting the Monday morning rush hour.
Among the casualties, three of the victims reportedly died from electrocution after floodwaters inundated their homes.
Tragically, one of them was initially rescued but sneaked back into his room to retrieve a television, resulting in a fatal shock.
The fourth victim, a man believed to be in his 60s, was found along the nearby railway line.
Officials from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), assisted by local residents, have since recovered the bodies from the flooded areas.
The deceased have been transported to the Maamobi Polyclinic.
