The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has extended his warmest wishes to aspirants, delegates, and party officers as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) commences its constituency elections across the country.
In an official statement, Mr. Debrah commended the grassroots members of the party, describing them as the backbone of the NDC’s political strength and enduring resilience.
He expressed profound gratitude to the rank and file who continue to dedicate their time, energy, and personal resources to the party’s cause, often without public recognition.
Addressing the candidates contesting various executive positions, the Chief of Staff commended their courage and readiness to serve, while tasking delegates to make choices that reflect the overarching interest and future success of the NDC.
“To every aspirant, thank you for offering yourselves to serve. To our delegates, I trust you to exercise your responsibility with care and in the best interests of our party,” Mr. Debrah stated.
Highlighting the need for political decorum throughout the internal polls, he appealed to all participants to abide strictly by the election regulations, maintain peace, and uphold mutual respect.
He further charged eventual winners to exercise humility in victory by embracing defeated opponents to ensure complete internal cohesion.
“Let us respect the rules, conduct ourselves peacefully and treat one another with dignity. I urge those who emerge victorious to reach out with humility and bring everyone along. Whatever the outcome, every member has a place and a contribution to make,” he emphasised.
Mr. Debrah stressed that the ultimate objective remains winning the general elections, which requires total unity behind former President John Dramani Mahama and a shared dedication to improving the livelihoods of Ghanaians.
He urged party members across all constituencies to emerge from the exercise stronger and more unified ahead of the major tasks ahead.
“The work ahead requires all of us, united in our support for President John Dramani Mahama and our shared commitment to improving the lives of the Ghanaian people. When the ballots have been counted, let us leave every constituency more united than we found it,” he added.
