The Judicial Service of Ghana has announced that the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has declared an indefinite strike effective Monday, 2nd November, 2026.
In a public notice signed by the Judicial Secretary, Musah Ahmed, management acknowledged the anxiety and administrative inconvenience the industrial action may cause litigants, legal practitioners, and court users.
The service assured the public that the matter is “receiving the highest priority attention under the leadership of His Lordship the Chief Justice”.
Management disclosed that it is “currently engaged in urgent and active discussions with the relevant Government stakeholders with a view to achieving a swift and amicable resolution of the underlying issues”.
Highlighting that the primary objective is to “ensure that the administration of justice is not unduly hindered,” the Judicial Service appealed for patience, understanding, and cooperation during the disruption.
Reiterating its commitment to the rule of law, the Judicial Service promised to “continue to monitor the situation closely and provide timely updates to the public as developments unfold”.
