The Ghana Medical Association says there was no cause for alarm over Ghana’s current Covid-19 cases.
The Ghana Health Service has come under criticism for delaying the implementation of the reviewed Covid-19 protocols at the Kotoka International Airport.
But Dr. Gtank Serebour of the Ghana Medical Association noted that there was no need for Ghanaians to panic.
He stated that so far our caseload has not shown that we have not acted right.
He noted that the steps being taken by the government were still the best, and we may have to strengthen our borders and ensure that the testing is done properly.
He called for a robust system to prevent imported cases into the country.
Dr. Serebour said the systems are in place already, and Ghanaians are already aware of what to do, for now, I don’t think there is a need to panic.
He stressed the need for Ghanaians to know that Covid-19 was still out there and Ghana was not out of the woods yet.
”We should continue to maintain our hygiene practices and ensure that when we have signs that could be of Covid-19, we quickly rush to the hospital to get tested and get treatment.”
