The founder of the Perez Chapel, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, has challenged Ghanaian politicians to implement sound and social policies that will benefit them.
He said the people are looking for politicians who would not steal the resources of the state.
The respected man of God said Ghanaians are looking for a paradigm shift that can impact the economy and their lives.
He was speaking at the Thanksgiving Service of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the church to climax the successful organisation of the party’s national executive elections.
Archbishop Agyinsare Asare said for a party that seeks to be in government to come out with policy alternatives on national issues that will give hope to the people.
He said, ”it must not be criticism for criticism’s sake but constructive criticism that leads to our collective benefit as a nation”.
He added Ghanaians would be looking forward to a healthy balance between patronage and meritocracy as the challenges of economic management get tougher.
This would require a useful blend of the old and young to give hope and assurance that we appreciate the magnitude of public expectations, he argued.
He charged political parties to endeavor to maintain the peace of the country, especially as we prepare to go into the political season.
