Ama Badu, a 25-year-old woman, is accused of cutting her step-child’s fingers for allegedly stealing meat from a soup.
The incident occurred in Kwahu, in the Eastern Region, where they both live.
According to a report obtained by Rainbow Radio, the stepmother allegedly placed the minor’s gingers on a log and cut them off.
Following the incident, the woman allegedly kept the victim inside, where he bled until he was rushed to the hospital.
He was later transferred to the Koforidua Government Hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect has since been apprehended and is currently in police custody.
