Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institue Koku Anyodoho, has reiterated the need for the current generation of young people to have a mindset transformation.
As a policy think tank, he stated that the institute’s main initiative is to chart the path of mindset transformation for nation-building.
“If we as a people do not experience mindset transformation, we should strive to help the next generation experience it. We want the next generation to understand patriotism and nationalism, and to show them that we practise it ourselves. That is why Asomdwee Park was created. We want to use the library, the conference centre, and the cemetery where the late Prof. Mills was buried to tell that story. To instill in the youth the spirit of nationalism.”
He added that the institute would work with other organisations to promote mindset transformation from basic to tertiary levels.
He said the recognition of the Institute both at home and abroad has been tremendous.
According to him, AMI is looking forward to a bright year in 2023 and beyond.,
“That is what we are focusing on, mindset transformation and assisting in the reshaping of public policy. Some public policies must be reshaped and altered because they are no longer relevant. This is also consistent with the values held by the late Mills.”
One of its core functions is to engage in a series of, workshops, seminars, and roundtable discussions, as a way of giving greater relevance to the transformational role that John Evans Atta-Mills played in his various spheres of endeavour in service to his country and also on the international circuit.
