“The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) assured Ghanaians that it had competent men to run the country. But, as we have seen so far, they don’t even have babies to manage the country, Yaw Barimah, Public Relations Officer for True Drivers Union has averred.
Speaking in an interview on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said before the 2016 general elections, the NPP claimed to have men of integrity, skills, and the needed knowledge to manage the country.
However, they have failed to deliver as expected, he said.
Yaw Barimah was explaining why the union and three other groups have pledged to support former President John Dramani Mahama in his quest to contest in the 2024 presidential election.
According to Yaw Barimah, the country is in crisis because the NPP administration has run down the economy, affecting the operations of financial institutions such as savings and loan companies, with several of them collapsing.
“It has become extremely difficult to contract loans and start a business in Ghana,” he lamented. All of these difficulties were caused by the inept NPP. They have brought down financial institutions such as savings and loans.”
”We are solidly behind former President John Dramani Mahama. He has our unflinching support. We want him back as president to come and rescue the country from the mess the NPP has caused. We will support him physically, financially, and in any other way possible to have him elected as the next President of Ghana.”
