A bird is said to have transformed into a human at Gomoa Mampong in the Central Region.
According to witnesses, the bird transformed into a woman suspected of being a witch.
They claimed the woman admitted to being a witch and had come to the area to kill a young man.
The young man in question is said to be ill, and his condition deteriorates at night.
To help him with his problem, the young man sought the assistance of a prophet, who came over to pray with him.
While praying, the bird allegedly glowed and transformed into a woman.
It is also reported that there were two birds, one of which escaped.
When confronted, the woman stated that she was paid GHC 50 spiritually to murder the young man.
When several residents stormed the scene to witness the incident, the Chief in the area called the police to intervene.
Others have expressed concern that the woman may be mentally ill.
