On Sunday, November 12, 2023, at about 7:20 a.m., Accra was hit by an earth tremor.
It lasted only a few seconds and elicited several reactions, particularly on social media.
Some inhabitants in Weija, an Accra suburb, had to flee their homes due to the tremor.
Residents in Mallam, Gbawe, SCC, and Bortianor also reported feeling the Earth tremor on Sunday morning.
There are no reports of injuries or property damage.
However, some people who felt the earth tremor resorted to the social networking platform X, formerly Twitter, to share their experience.
