A 47-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly defiling a three-year-old minor in Kuwait, a community in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The suspect, identified as Efo Emma, was apprehended and sent to the Tuba Police station by residents in the area after he was reportedly caught in the act.
Reporting from the area on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Rainbow Radio’s Oheneba Ademah said Efo Emma lured the minor into his room and allegedly defiled her today, Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
He stated that the suspect brought the little girl to his room when the victim’s mother had left for the market.
The report further revealed that another tenant in the house heard the minor crying from the room of the tenant.
She knocked on the door, but there was no response from Efo Emma, and trying to open it proved futile because he had locked it from the inside.
According to Ademah, the tenant asked the suspect why he had kept the girl in his room and refused to open the door when the minor was crying.
Efo Emma did not respond, and so the tenant raised an alarm, following which some other residents rushed to the scene.
They forced Efo Emma’s door to open, only to discover him naked, and had also smeared the victim’s private parts with pomade.
Ademah further revealed that he had smeared the pomade over his genitalia.
He was captured and taken to the Tuba Police Station, where he is now being held.
The minor is currently pain and has been transported to the hospital for medical examination.
