The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s United Kingdom chapter has presented what it describes as a compelling case for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s trustworthiness, integrity, humility, and dedication.
The chapter suggested that the ruling party’s presidential candidate had superior character, humility, and credibility as compared to his political rival, former John Dramani Mahama.
The chairman of the branch, Kingsley Adumattah Agyapong, indicated that unlike Mahama, who lacks integrity, credibility, humility, and competence, Dr. Bawumia stands tall in these areas.
In an interview with Rainbow Radio 92.4 FM in the United Kingdom, he remarked that Mr. Mahama cannot compare himself to Dr. Bawumia since they are so far different.
He claimed that Mahama is aware he is nowhere near Dr. Bawumia when it comes to credibility and integrity.
“Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has more credibility than Mahama. Mahama is aware that Bawumia has more credibility than he does. Bawumia is a man of undoubted integrity. If we played any old videos of Mahama disrespecting Ghanaians, he’d cry because he disrespected us. For example, he told Kumasi citizens that even if he used gold to build their roads, they would not appreciate it.
But have you seen or heard of Dr. Bawumia previously in this matter? Mahama is the same person who admitted to having squandered our resources and compared it to chewed meat with just bones.
He used our resources to purchase vehicles for women, chiefs, and pastors across the country, all in the name of winning an election. He was throwing our resources about and mismanaging the economy to the point of plunging us into dumsor. He messed up the economy, and that was why Ghanaians voted him out of office. I am telling you the truth.”
He stated that Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated that he is the people’s choice, as he is loved and valued for his work.
“Irrespective of where you keep Ghanaians, if they dislike you, they will try not to vote for you. Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated beyond doubt that he is an exceptional leader, credible, and a man with integrity and competence.
We cannot say the same about Mahama. What is his record? He should show us his record. His record includes the Ford Expedition bribery affair and the Government Official 1 scandal. Mahama cannot compare himself to Bawumia. Bawumia outperforms 275 percent in terms of humility, credibility, and integrity,” he concluded.
