Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, the government’s spokesperson for governance and security, claims that Ghana has never had an efficient and effective vice president before Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia took office.
He stated that no Vice President has accomplished as much as Dr. Bawumia has since 1992.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he pointed out that Dr. Bawunia has performed exceptionally well by complimenting the work of President Akufo-Addo.
As the government spokesperson on security and governance, Boakye-Danquah believes Dr. Bawumia has been instrumental in the digitization agenda of the government and has also supported and initiated several projects under this administration.
He said the presidential candidate of the NPP is a man to lead, and his ambition is a journey of conversation that will lead the party into victory on December 7, 2024.
He believes Dr. Bawumia has a solid track record, and “I believe Ghanaians have recognised his achievements and will reward him for them. We’ve never had a vice president who has performed exceptionally well since 1992 until Dr. Bawumia became the vice president. We have no doubt in our minds that, as he hears his vision, Ghanaians will recognise his efforts and vote massively for him”.
He cited Asantehene’s recent commendation of Dr. Bawumia, who expressed confidence in the ability of the flagbearer.
He said this affirms the competence of Dr. Bawumia.
The Asantehene, who stated that he has known Dr. Bawumia for a very long time, observed that political power has not changed the former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana as a humble person.
Commenting on this, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah stressed that Dr. Bawumia has been tried and tested and will surely win the 2024 presidential election.
