The Ghana Police Service has arrested Fatawu Ibrahim, also known as “Fatau Motorway,” who was wanted in connection with the violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Mamobi, Accra, on October 13, 2024.
The suspect was seen in a viral video brandishing a firearm during the altercation, which allegedly resulted in two people being shot and injured.
A statement issued by the police disclosed that “he is currently in police custody and will be put before the court in due course.”
It added that investigations are ongoing to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
