The presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, is reported dead.
The Ghanaian farmer is said to have died on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
It remains unclear what led to her death, but Rainbowradioonline.com has gathered she died after a short illness.
Madam Donkor was the founder and leader of the GFP and died at the age of 71.
The late Akua Donkor promised free education from primary to secondary school, eliminating import taxes to boost trade, and establishing a free trade zone at Tema Port to attract international businesses.
Throughout her political career, Akua Donkor advocated for farmer welfare, frequently criticising government policies she saw as neglecting small-scale agriculture.
