Madness, coma, stroke, accident that will tear you to pieces, body rot will visit you if you rig the elections—GUM leader

The 2024 presidential candidate of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Kyiri Abosom, has invoked prayers against persons who have plotted to rig the upcoming December 7 general elections.

The man of God speaking at a media engagement warned that seven curses await all those plotting any form of rigging.

He said,’I am praying and invoking curses against anyone who has plotted or decided to stuff the ballot boxes with more votes so their parties would have more votes. Whether the person is a journalist, a police officer, a citizen, a soldier, an electoral commissioner, or an official, they are struck by the thunder of God. I pray that God will strike the person. I pray that God will visit the person with an unprecedented accident. That’s the first curse.

On the day of voting, those who also engage in multiple voting across the country, I pray that God will visit the person with death. God should kill that person or persons. If you cast more than one vote for any political party or individual, death shall be your portion. You and your children and descendants should be wiped from the face of the earth.

The third curse I want to cast is that while we count the ballots and any official allocates votes for GUM to any other candidate, the person should be killed in a gruesome accident that rips him or her to pieces. God should respond to these prayers. All those who rig elections should face serious consequences for the rest of their lives.

He then declared the fourth curse, stating that any Electoral Commission member who engages in result manipulation, specifically altering 20 to 200, shall be struck down, experiencing severe bodily decay, extending from the crown of their head to the soles of their feet. I humbly pray that God causes the individual to become so foul-smelling that their presence becomes intolerable to those surrounding them. I fervently pray that God honors these prayers, lest I begin to question the validity of God’s existence. The fifth curse targets any individual belonging to a party who has been appointed to collaborate with the Electoral Commission and is intent on manipulating the election outcome. I pray that God visits such an individual with profound sorrow, pain, and madness, ultimately culminating in an ignominious and shameful demise.

The sixth curse states that any politician who participates in this scheme to rig elections and has an agenda to use state resources to bribe people to vote for them will be struck with coma, blindness, and grief. “God should visit you with a stroke, and may you die a shameful death,” he said.
