President-elect John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that President Nana Akufo-Addo has agreed to facilitate a smooth and peaceful transfer of power.
Mr. Mahama indicated that both teams have agreed to initiate the transition process ahead of schedule.
He stated that the transition process will start on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Delivering his victory speech, he said there was a need for a unified approach to the transition, stressing that cooperation will be key in driving the country’s progress forward.
“I have also just received a call from His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo. He graciously extended his congratulations to me, and we had the opportunity to discuss matters related to the joint transition team. Tourism packages
“We have agreed on an early inauguration of the joint transition team as early as Wednesday, 11th December,” Mahama announced.
