Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has stated that any recollation of election results after the declaration of the results is illegal without a court order.
He has therefore asked the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana to desist from the ongoing recollation exercise at the Tesano Police Training School.
He argued that C.I. 127 makes it clear that the only legal way to recollate results is through the courts; hence the ongoing exercise by the EC was unlawful.
He said this in a Facebook post he shared on his official page.
“The Electoral Commission of Ghana must know that per C.I. 127, the only way to recollate after declaration is through the courts.”
“This point of law renders their recollation illegal. And the incoming NDC government will not entertain such reallocations.”

EC: You Must Know The Only Way To Re-collate After Declaration Is Through The Courts
——————————————————————-
The Electoral Commission Ghana must know that per C.I. 127 the only way to re-collate after declaration is through the courts…
This point of law renders their re-collation illegal. And the incoming NDC government will not entertain such re-collations.
RE-COLLATION of Parliamentary seats that had already been collated without court order will not stand!
Still keep #EAGLEEYES on the Electoral Commission and the NPP.
NB: Be informed that some of the constituencies had not been collated. Separate that from those that had been collated.
