President John Dramani Mahama has admonished employers and employees to work together in a spirit of collaboration, mutual respect, and understanding to build a more prosperous and equitable Ghana.

He also commended Ghanaian workers for their dedication and hard work, indicating that their role has helped in shaping the progress of the country.

He promised to provide an enabling environment aimed at creating an enabling environment for workers to thrive as part of his broader plan to reset the nation’s development agenda.

“Today, [May 1], is a special day for our gallant workers. On behalf of the people of Ghana, I celebrate your tireless efforts, dedication, and contributions to our progress as a country and people”.

“My government recognises and deeply values the pivotal role of the Ghanaian worker in driving our national development agenda. You are the engine of our economy, the builders of our infrastructure, and the innovators who propel us forward. I am, therefore, committed to creating a supportive environment that allows you to thrive and help Reset Ghana.”

“Government is committed to strengthening our labour laws, enforcing occupational safety and health regulations, and promoting social dialogue between employers and employees,” he added.
