The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has reiterated Ghana’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance institutional capacity and expedite sustainable development across Africa. Dr Jinapor made this known through a Facebook post on Wednesday, January 21, following deliberations with officials of the Foundation.
He emphasised that ACBF plays a pivotal role in augmenting Africa’s human, institutional, and policy capabilities.
The meeting, according to him, centred on identifying pragmatic areas of cooperation, specifically in training and capacity development, policy formulation, energy access, and the continent’s energy transition agenda.

“Our discussions focused on opportunities for mutual collaboration and how we can work together to advance development across the continent,” Dr Jinapor said.
He noted that the African School of Regulation (ASR) is a strategic asset within the ACBF ecosystem, adding that it remains a vital platform for strengthening regulatory capacity and supporting evidence-based policymaking in Africa’s fast-evolving energy sector.
Dr Jinapor concluded that effective regulation and skilled institutional leadership are critical to unlocking investment, improving electricity access and delivering long-term energy security across the continent.
