70-Year-Old Man Found Locked in Headmaster’s Car in Berekum East
A 70-year-old man has been discovered in a locked private vehicle in Berekum East, Bono Region, with a red and blue pen and paper in his hands, after being confined for several days.
The circumstances surrounding how he became trapped in the courtroom, where all doors were shut, remain unclear, leaving resigned and eyewitnesses alike questioning whether the individual was under some form of possession.
During a report on the incident on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Nana Kwame was recorded banging on the vehicle’s windscreen from the inside.
The incident, as described by Nana Kwame, attracted a considerable amount of attention from bystanders.
According to his account, the vehicle belonged to a school headmaster and had its windows rolled up and doors locked; however, the 70-year-old man had apparently managed to gain entry into the car, which then traveled to Kumasi.
The reporter further disclosed that the vehicle’s owner had embarked on a journey to Kumasi in search of spiritual assistance to address his financial difficulties, the declining patronage of his school, and the recurring breakdown of his vehicle.
It was also revealed that the car owner’s wife had , away, compounding his struggles. The owner had secured the vehicle by locking the doors and rolling up the windows before departing for Kumasi.
The police encountered significant difficulty in opening the door, eventually managing to do so after approximately 30 minutes.
Although the incident appears unusual, it has been confirmed to have occurred.
The vehicle in question has been towed by the police, and investigations into the matter are currently underway.
