The ex-coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito, has confirmed that his decision to step down from his role, stating clearly, “I personally resign.”
Speaking on his decision, Zito emphasised that his resignation was voluntary and driven by his commitment to the club’s values and progress.
He noted that sometimes change is necessary to allow a great club like Asante Kotoko to reset and move forward in the right direction.
The experienced trainer made the revelation amid growing pressure surrounding the club’s recent performances, taking full responsibility for the team’s struggles.
Abdul Karim Zito, who is widely respected for his contribution to Ghana football, thanked the Kotoko management, players, and the passionate supporters for their support during his time at the club.
