Brigadier General Danjuma Ribah Dantani, the new Force Commander of the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMBG), visited Ghana Company 4 at the Presidential Palace on Friday to begin his familiarisation tour.
During the visit, the Combat Team Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah, briefed the FC on operations, logistics and administration issues of the company.
In his remarks, the FC expressed satisfaction with the state of GHANCOY 4’s operational readiness.
He commended the combat team commander for improving the camp’s infrastructure and prioritising the welfare of his troops.
The FC later held an all-ranks durbar with personnel after a tour of the camp, where he encouraged the combat team commander and all personnel of GHANCOY 4 to maintain the good operational standards exhibited so far.
He also entreated the troops to remain vigilant and alert at all times since the political and security situation of the country remained unpredictable.
