Africa’s music icon and maestro, Kojo Antwi, will be signing copies of his memoir in New York on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

The memoir, “MR MUSIC MAN: THE JOURNEY”, was launched on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Accra, Ghana, but it is time for him to present signed copies to lovers, fans and friends in the United States of America.

The signing is expected to take place at the Source of Knowledge Book Store, Newark, between the hours of 5PM and 8PM.

The Music Man is currently in the US, New York, after performing on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

The performance is at the invitation of the Kwahuman Association of New York, in collaboration with the Kojo Antwi Foundation, to celebrate this icon on the continent.

Dubbed “Celebrating the Music Man, Kojo Antwi”, the night brought together Kwahu indigenes who are in the diaspora, those who are not from Kwahu and other foreign nationals.

It was based on this that the Maestro would take the opportunity to engage in a three-hour signing ceremony with fans and lovers.

In the three-hour encounter and engagement with fans and loved ones, the Maestro is expected to sign hundreds of “MR MUSIC MAN: THE JOURNEY” for patrons and also take photos with patrons.

Kojo Antwi, on his social media platforms, said, “Hello New Jersey fans, friends & family, I’ll be signing copies of my memoir, MR MUSIC MAN: THE JOURNEY, and meeting you in person at Source of Knowledge Book Store, Newark. Thursday, April 16, 2026 | 5PM–8PM.”

The launching ceremony featured tributes and goodwill messages, including a eulogy in honour of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, as well as remarks from business leaders who highlighted how Kojo Antwi’s music continues to inspire generations.

Co-authored by George Essiaw, the book chronicles the artist’s early life, his years performing in bands, and the experiences that shaped his journey.

It offers readers an in-depth look at both his personal and professional story.

Fans and dignitaries joined in celebrating the legendary singer, marking the launch as a memorable moment for Ghana’s music and literary communities.

Already, Kojo Antwi has presented a copy of his newly launched memoir, “The “Music Man: The Journey”, to long-time best friend Frederic Desire Ehui, best known as Meiway, who is also a singer from the neighbouring Ivory Coast.

That event took place in Paris, France, where Meiway lives.
