The Accra Regional Police Command has declared Wisdom Tetteh wanted following the mysterious disappearance of 27-year-old Theophilus Ashitey Amarh.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, the police confirmed that investigators have intensified their search for both the suspect and the missing man as part of an ongoing enquiry.
The case was formally reported on 7 April after the victim failed to return home from a business engagement the previous day.
Preliminary investigations suggest that on 6 April, Theophilus Ashitey left his residence with the intention of selling his Hyundai Elantra saloon car.
He had reportedly been introduced to a prospective buyer by Wisdom Tetteh, who subsequently invited him to his home in Saasabi, Accra.
Although the victim was last seen arriving at the suspect’s residence for the scheduled meeting, he never returned, leading his family to file a missing person report with the Oyibi District Police Command.
The investigation took a more sombre turn on 10 April when intelligence-led efforts led officers back to the suspect’s home. Upon inspection, investigators discovered suspected bloodstains inside a room, a development that has raised significant concerns regarding potential foul play.
The premises were immediately secured and processed by the National Crime Scene Management Team, with additional support provided by the Anti-Armed Robbery Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters.
Despite a coordinated search operation involving local authorities and members of the community, the victim’s whereabouts remain unknown.
The police are now appealing to the public for any information that might lead to the arrest of Wisdom Tetteh or assist in locating Theophilus Ashitey Amarh.
