Four people, including a pregnant woman and her daughter, were killed in a horrific road accident at Kinkinlin, near Makango, on Thursday morning, East Gonja Municipality.
The incident occurred around 5:00 a.m. as a group of women and girls were walking to their farms to harvest shea nuts.
According to witnesses, a Sinotruk HOWO tipper truck (registration GB-2359-20) suddenly veered across the road, striking the victims from behind before overturning.
Four died instantly at the scene; victims included two mothers and their respective daughters.
One survivor is in critical condition. They were initially taken to Salaga Government Hospital before being transferred to Tamale Teaching Hospital.
