A police officer, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Amoah, stationed at the Odorkor Divisional MTTD, has reportedly died by suicide.
He was found dead in his bedroom at the police quarters near the Abossey Okai Post Office in Accra.
The incident is said to have occurred on May 14, 2026, at about 12:35 p.m.
The deceased is said to have been found lifeless, sitting close to his bed with a sponge tied around his neck and hanging onto a wooden bar.
It remains unclear what led to the incident, but the Police Service has launched an investigation into the matter.
