The Majority Leader, the Honourable Mahama Ayariga, has formally extended his congratulations to two Ghanaian Members of Parliament who were elected to senior leadership roles within the Pan-African Parliament during the recent legislative recess.
Addressing the House as Parliament reconvened today (May 22, 2026), the Majority Leader specifically commended Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings and the Honourable Frank Annoh-Dompreh for their outstanding achievements on the continental stage.
Honourable Ayariga detailed that Dr Agyeman-Rawlings has been elected as the Second Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament, a position that effectively functions as Deputy Speaker.
Simultaneously, Honourable Annoh-Dompreh has secured the role of Chair of the Health, Social Work, and Labour Committee for the Western Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament.
Expressing the collective pride of the House, the Majority Leader conveyed his best wishes to both members for their upcoming tenures, noting that the chamber remains entirely confident in their ability to demonstrate Ghanaian excellence abroad.
