The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced to the general public that, effective Monday, 6th July 2026, Ghana Card registration for Ghanaian children aged 6 to 14 years will be available at all NIA District Offices across the Volta and Oti Regions.
Following the successful completion of the initial mass registration exercise, the NIA has integrated the registration of children within this age bracket into its routine services at all District Offices in the two regions.
Consequently, parents and guardians are encouraged to visit any NIA District Office in the Volta or Oti Regions to register their eligible children.
To facilitate a smooth and efficient process, the Authority advises parents and guardians to accompany their children and present the required supporting documents.
A statement issued by Williams Ampomah Emmanuel Darlas, Head of the Corporate Affairs Directorate at the NIA, confirmed that the registration for eligible children aged 6 to 14 years is completely free of charge at all NIA District Offices.
“The National Identification Authority encourages all parents and guardians whose eligible children are yet to be registered to take advantage of this permanent service and obtain Ghana Cards for them,” the statement concluded.
