Highlighting ongoing work on strategic transport corridors, the Minister emphasized that several key interchanges and bypasses are making steady headway.

“The construction of the Swedru interchange phase two, the Sunyani Tamale and Kumasi outer ring road are progressing,” he stated.

Addressing the legislature, Dr. Forson pointed out that transport links within agrarian zones are already yielding benefits for rural producers and local commerce.

“Road projects in the Eastern Volta region are also improving access to farming communities and market access,” he told the House.
To sustain this momentum, the Finance Minister revealed plans to prioritize schemes that are in their final stages to ensure rapid delivery.

“During the second half of the year, government will fast track project completion. The project nearing completion,” he said.

Dr. Forson further assured lawmakers that the administration is taking decisive measures to eliminate administrative and operational hurdles hampering progress on site.

“Mr speaker, improve contractor performance and remove bottlenecks to ensure they are completed on time,” he stated.
