The Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency, Baba Jamal, has presented a cash donation of GHS 56,000 to fully cover the cost of refurbishing the constituency’s ambulance station, which was recently destroyed by a fire outbreak.
The affected facility, situated near the Nima Roundabout behind the Nima Hospital, suffered severe destruction in the inferno, threatening critical emergency healthcare response in the area.
Announcing the intervention, the lawmaker explained that the funds will be used to transform the burnt structure into a modern, well-equipped ambulance station and ensure its prompt return to active service.
Baba Jamal revealed that he has already directed that the necessary structural and restoration works be expedited to allow the facility to resume full operational capacity as quickly as possible.
He highlighted that the swift restoration of the station is essential to ensuring that residents of Nima and surrounding communities continue to benefit from timely and reliable emergency medical services.
The MP reaffirmed his continued commitment to serving the constituents of Ayawaso East and prioritizing the strengthening of local healthcare delivery systems to improve the overall health and well-being of the public.
