Firefighters from the Trade Fair and Circle Fire Stations were deployed to tackle separate fire outbreaks across the Greater Accra Region in the early hours of Thursday, 6th August 2026.
The first incident occurred at Odorkor Official Town, near Adi Junction, where a combined commercial and domestic fire broke out shortly after 02:00hrs.
The Circle Fire Station duty crew was alerted at 02:08hrs and arrived at the scene by 02:27hrs to find the blaze actively burning.
Emergency personnel managed to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to neighbouring wooden structures.
However, four wooden units—three housing personal belongings and one serving as a mechanic shop storeroom—were completely destroyed.
Hours later, at 03:38hrs, the Trade Fair Fire Station received a distress call regarding a commercial fire along the Old Kasaperko Road in Nungua.
Fire crews arrived on site at 03:53hrs to meet a metal container structure fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters brought the inferno under control by 04:00hrs, safeguarding adjacent properties.
The metal container and all items inside were lost to the fire.
No casualties or injuries were recorded in either incident. Officers from the Ghana National Fire Service have launched investigations to determine the cause of both blazes.
