Several passengers have sustained varying degrees of injury following a severe head-on collision involving a Metro Mass Transit bus and a Toyota Voxy near the Obiri Yeboah Senior High School at Assin Fosu in the Central Region.
The crash occurred around 7 PM on Sunday evening, leaving both vehicles heavily damaged and causing immediate disruption to traffic along the busy stretch.
The impact of the collision left a number of passengers trapped inside the badly mangled Voxy vehicle. Officers from the Ghana National Fire Service arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and have been using heavy-duty rescue equipment to cut open the wreckage to evacuate the trapped victims.
Emergency personnel are currently rushing the injured passengers to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Fosu, where medical teams have been deployed to administer urgent treatment.

Officers from the Ghana Police Service are also on the ground maintaining order, managing the gathering crowd, and directing traffic to ensure a continuous flow of vehicles through the area.
Rescue operations remain ongoing, and while initial reports confirm multiple injuries, it remains unclear whether any fatalities have been recorded.
