Speaking at the National Youth Forum hosted by the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra, Ms Seddoh noted that the agreement aligns with the government’s reset agenda on youth-oriented policies.

She further highlighted initiatives aimed at making agriculture attractive to the youth, adding that special incentives will be offered to graduates who choose to undertake their national service in the agricultural sector.

Also speaking at the forum, Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Authority (YEA), Malik Basintale, stated that his outfit has recruited over 90,000 Ghanaian youths into various institutions nationwide.

He noted that when he assumed office, slightly over 15,000 young Ghanaians were beneficiaries of YEA programmes. He stated that the current figures demonstrate the commitment of the John Mahama-led administration to youth-centred policies.

Mr Basintale added that the YEA will partner with the 24-Hour Secretariat to roll out initiatives designed to onboard more young people onto the YEA portal.
