A seventeen-year-old boy, Kwaku, has committed suicide by hanging at Achiase in the Amansie South district of the Ashanti region.
Rainbowradioonline.com gathered that the boy committed suicide because he had impregnated two minors.
Reporting from the area, Rainbow Radio’s Abdul Malik said the deceased was having an affair with several young girls, and two of them became pregnant.
He said the two young girls informed him about their pregnancies.
His family were later informed, and they accepted responsibility and promised to take care of the girls and their pregnancies.
He is said to have told his friends that he was going to commit suicide, but they did not take him seriously.
Later, one of the girls pregnant for him came over to wash his clothes and discovered DDT in them and asked what he was going to do with it.
Kwaku is said to have replied that he would use it to commit suicide.
The girl got rid of the drug but didn’t tell anyone.
Kwaku was later discovered hanging in his room, his belt tied to a ceiling fan.
His family is devastated by the incident and is wondering why his friends failed to inform them about the suicide threats.
