A trader at Twifo Praso in the Twifo Attimorkwa District of the Central Region is fighting for her life after a customer bit off her upper eyelids due to a misunderstanding.
In an interview, the victim, Elizabeth Kwatemaa, 27, stated that the suspect, whose name has been given as “Linda,” purchased sandals from her on credit in November of last year.
But all efforts to persuade her to pay the money were futile until she ran into the suspect while walking around town wearing the same pair of sandals.
She approached the suspect solemnly for her money, which led to a lengthy argument.
According to the victim, the suspect held her head, looked straight into her eyes, and gouged off her upper eyelids and eyelashes without provocation.
After witnessing the pool of blood emanating from her eyes, bystanders rushed her to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the case has been reported to police, and an investigation has begun.
