Prophet Sampson Obontan Bekoe, the senior pastor of African Faith Tabernacle Church in Gomoa Jukwaa in the Gomoa Central District in the central region, is currently being held by the Agona Swedru police Command for assaulting a church member.
The pastor is accused of assaulting a church member named Sister Abena for accusing him of taking Gh200.
According to the details surfacing, the victim went to see the pastor and his wife and witnessed them bickering over a missing Ghc200 belonging to the pastor’s wife.
Tettewaa remarked on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that the pastor’s wife accused him of taking the money.
The victim, who had come to visit them and chanced upon the incident, claimed that the pastor had stolen the money.
Her premix was that the man of God had previously stolen a church guitar, therefore he might have stolen the Ghc200.
Infuriated by the accusation, the man of God allegedly toshed on the church member and physically beat her.
He allegedly thrashed him and left her face swollen with bruises.
