Building strategic friendships requires self-love, as it is essential for success – Life Coach

A professional trainer, editor of Golden City Business Magazine, and media analyst and author, Scofray Nana Yaw Yeboah, has suggested that building strategic friendships that are devoid of toxicity is hinged mainly on self-love.

He stated that a good and healthy connection with yourself is the foundation upon which all other aspects of your life and the lives of others flourish.

When it comes to creating well-being, the globally trained coach reminded host Kwabena Agyapong that one must be intentional and sensitive to the friendships he or she forms.

He was quick to add, however, that a lack of self-love, a decent heart, personal welfare, and happiness will affect how one treats others, especially their friends.

He claimed that it is critical for an individual to have a personal dialogue with oneself, emphasising the importance of personal growth, aspirations, and how to develop yourself professionally, psychologically, mentally, and, most importantly, in terms of health.

He stated that self-love is all about making decisions that are best for you.

He told the host that the most important aspect of developing strategic partnerships is friendship with oneself. That will demonstrate your ability to interact with others. Personal conflicts with yourself are necessary if you are to know exactly what you wish to do.

“The quality of your relationship will demonstrate the other relationships you will have. Anyone with an inferiority complex, superiority complex, or trauma demonstrates how they are going into other relationships. Social cohesion shows that  if you do not have good personal  relationships,  good conscience,  self-love, and a clean heart, you will not have good relationships with others.”

He highlighted that toxic relationships can be harmful if not handled carefully, as the other person may use their negative energies or toxicity to influence your positive energy.

“This therefore requires that, in choosing your friends, you have some level of energy that will prevent the person from having a grip over you and playing with your emotions, since that could trigger serious trauma for you.
If you have a good personal relationship with yourself and fail to choose your friends strategically, they will influence you with their toxicity,” he stressed.

Scofary Nana Yaw Yeboah emphasized the importance of intentional friendships, which are strategic relationships with purpose.

He acknowledged that failures are a part of life, but the resilience to overcome them and self-talk can significantly impact one’s ability to navigate challenges.
