The Ajumako Enyan Essiam branch of the New Pariotic Party (NPP) has asked the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, to render an apology for his recent allegation that the government was recruiting party thugs into the various security agencies.
The constituency communications director, Paa Kojo Yankson, indicated that the allegation by the minority leader was false and that there was a need for him to retract and apologise.
He described him as a hypocrite, alleging that the MP is the one who has lobbyied to have his relatives and some young people into the security services.
He specifically mentioned the twin brothers of the MP, saying they have all joined the security forces through the Minority Leader.
He went on to state that Dr. Forson goes around campaigning for votes by telling the youth in the area that he has sent some youth into the services.
“Ato Forson goes around the constituency campaigning and telling the youth that he has sent several young people into the police, customs, fire service, and all the other security agencies, so they should vote for him, so he will continue doing that. Due to this, the youth in our constituency trust in him and keep voting for him because they know he will make it easier for them to join the security services.
I want to state categorically that Ato Forson is a hypocrite and the epitome of hypocrisy. If Ato Forson is accusing the NPP of recruiting NPP thugs when he is the one lobbying to have the youth join the forces, then he is a hypocrite. His brother, Emmanuel Forson, who is a twin, is now with the security forces. One is with the police and the other with customs. I have therefore renamed Ato Forson ‘Atoro Forson’ (a lair), he added.
